Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026  ·  Dwello Australia  ·  dwello.au@gmail.com

By using the Dwello app or website (the "Service") or submitting photos for a report, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Dwello is — and what it isn't

Dwello is an automated awareness tool. You photograph a property room by room, and Dwello generates a plain-English report that flags things that may be worth looking into further.

Please understand clearly:

  • Dwello is not a licensed building and pest inspection, and does not replace one.
  • Reports are generated automatically from your photos and are not individually reviewed by a person before they're sent to you.
  • A report reflects only what is visible in the photos you provide. Many issues can't be seen in a photo, or won't be captured by the photos you take. Dwello can miss things.
  • Dwello does not provide professional building, legal, or financial advice.

The Service is intended to help you decide what to investigate and what questions to ask a professional — not to tell you whether to buy, rent, or what a property is worth.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. This is a free pilot

The Service is currently provided free of charge as a pilot. It is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or withdraw the Service or any feature at any time during the pilot.

4. Your responsibilities when using Dwello

You agree that:

  • You're entitled to take the photos. You will only photograph a property you are lawfully permitted to be at and to photograph (for example, an open-for-inspection you are attending). You confirm you have any permission needed to take and submit the photos.
  • You'll be considerate of others' privacy. You will avoid photographing people, and avoid capturing other people's personal or sensitive information (documents, screens, mail, valuables) where you reasonably can.
  • Your information is accurate. The quality of your report depends on the quality and honesty of the photos and notes you provide.
  • You won't misuse the Service — including by using it unlawfully, attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, or submitting content you don't have the right to submit.

5. Always get a professional inspection — do not rely on Dwello

A Dwello report is a prompt to investigate, not a verdict. You must not make a decision to purchase, rent, or pay a particular price for a property based on a Dwello report. Before purchasing or signing a lease, always engage a qualified, licensed building and pest inspector. You are responsible for your own property decisions.

6. Your content and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of the photos and notes you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a licence to use Your Content for the purpose of providing the Service to you — that is, to generate and deliver your report, and to operate, secure, and debug the Service.

We do not use Your Content to train artificial-intelligence models. If that ever changes, we will ask for your separate, explicit consent first.

To generate your report, Your Content and the details you provide are processed by our hosting and AI service providers, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service, the Dwello name and branding, the report format, and the "Jack" guidance are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may keep and share your own reports.

8. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a "consumer" under the Australian Consumer Law, you may have guarantees that apply to the Service, and nothing here limits those.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 8:

  • We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on a report, or from any defect, issue, or condition that a report did not identify (including issues not visible in your photos).
  • We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential loss.
  • Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to re-supplying the Service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied — and during the free pilot, no fee has been paid.

10. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or stop providing the Service to you if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. You can stop using the Service at any time, and can ask us to delete your information (see the Privacy Policy).

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
